Nieces and Nephews

When Chai and I arrived at my parents’ farm, he was upset to find out that his sister, Mille, had five 7-week-old kittens.

There were 3 girls and 2 boys, but I had a hard time telling them apart as they were all striped except for the one dark gray one, Earline.  (It was supposed to be Earl Gray, but it turned out to be a girl!)

The smile on Chai’s face is because he is sleeping; he didn’t realize that the kitten was so close.  He is not fond of being an uncle.  The four striped kittens have since been adopted but Earline is still looking for a home.

On the 2nd I flew to Calgary for training for my summer job and so Chai is staying the summer with my parents.  Two days ago we drove our  work trucks up to the Fort McMurray area.  So be ready for a shift from cat stories to bird stories!
