Kitties!
We had lamented all summer that we lived on a farm with five dogs and four horses, but no cats. But while I was away at my sister’s wedding in Ontario, a cat appeared.
We call her Big Mama. She’s actually very skinny.
“Can you quit bugging me? I’ve got rodents to catch, kittens to feed.”
And she’s got four kittens!
We thought that they were strays but apparently our landlord adopted them. We don’t know their real names, so the fluffy white and orange one is Ferrugie (as in ferruginous hawk), the orange one is Babybel (as in the cheese, an awesome field snack–the cheese, not the cat), the mottled dark one is Dark Morph (as in dark morph hawk), and the black one is Starling (yeah, yeah, it should be the one called Dark Morph, but we had named the other one before we saw it.) Starling is very shy, but the others will sometimes come to us. We bribed them with canned salmon juice here.
Don’t worry, I am looking forward to seeing Chai again, just in time for his 1st birthday!

CATS and KITTENS = MY LOVES!!! i may be moving into a new place soon and the tenant has a cat… im pretty sure its 50% of the reason i want to move haha
Do you not remember what happens when you feed cats!!! Chai was just saying to ask auntie Jillile this evening, that she is missing all he sweetness. He comes for big snuggles and smiles lots
I am so sweet Jillie even if I have oil on top of my head – as in tractor kind ;(
Me Chai is thinking me might want to stay here auntie Jillie. Me doesn’t even mind the big Moe barking at me!
Hehe, you drop everything for dark morph babies!
